In 2007, Windowcraft, Inc, began importing fabrics for the purpose of lowering shade costs for the customers, and decreasing lead times by stocking large quantities of fabric in house. The team had realized that there were simply too many choices out there, which was lending more confusion to an already fast-paced and complex industry. Simply speaking, the available options were overpriced, hard to get, and below expectations in quality. How could we limit the options and make sure that our customers still had all the variety they would need? How would our customers know and trust these vetted fabrics? We needed to bring all these high quality, yet cost-effective options into the light and give it a name. We needed to eliminate the guesswork and concerns for you and created a brand you can trust, and so Ecofabrix® was born.
Staffed by a team with over 50 years of combined shading experience, Ecofabrix® streamlines the choices and does the negotiating for you. We listen to the needs of our customers and work directly with our suppliers to respond to those needs.
Operating from a 30,000 sq. ft. facility in Garden City Park, NY, Ecofabrix® stocks over 3,000 rolls of fabric, an inventory that would allow us to produce over 45,000 shades with what we have on hand alone. Through an intense stock monitoring program, we are constantly anticipating the need for availability of each and every SKU, allowing us to avoid unnecessary delays.
We qualify the quality of all our products too. Every fabric is checked twice for flaws using our custom-built light inspection tables and extensive testing is conducted before new fabrics are introduced to our customers. Certificates back all certifications, and when our vendors could not supply that proof, we’ve had our own, independent testing done to double check all claims.
